The Corporation's entry entitled, "Integrating Technology to Improve Operational Processes", was selected by the Independent International Jury of ISSA as the winner of this year's Good Practice Certificate or Merit in teh areas of Contribution Collection and Compliance, Information and Communication Technology and Service Quality.
The Award Ceremony took place on December 3, 2014 in Casablanca, Morocco, during the welcome dinner held on the Occasion of the Regional Social Security Forum from December 3-5, 2014.
Presenting the award to NASSCORP, ISSA President Errol Frank Stoove congratulated the Corporation for the achievement, and hoped that the award would inspire the Corporation for better services to its insured population.
NASSCORP Deputy Director-General Nya D. Twayen Jr. received the award on behalf of Director-General vonBallmoos.
The Ceremony brought together 300 delegates from 41 member states.
NASSCORP has in recent years instituted several reform measures, including automation of its accounting, registration, contribution records, claim processing and benefit payment processes, which have facilitated its operations and ensured prompt service delivery.
A member of ISSA, NASSCORP has been active in the activities of the association, hosting two regional ISSA conferences in 1987 and 2012. NASSCORP was, in November 2013, elected to the ISSA Bureau -the decision-making body of ISSA, as a member for three years during the World Social Security Forum and the 31st General Assembly held in Doha, Qatar. The Director-General of NASSCORP, Mr. Dewitt vonBallmoos, was appointed on the Nominating Committee to elect officials of the association.
