Director-General Dewitt vonBallmoos said the increment was intended to motivate and improve the well-being of staff members, and admonished employees to take advantage of the increment and work harder in sustaining the gains the corporation has achieved over the years.

The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) introduced major salary adjustments that became effective July 1, 2014 with a 50 percent increment in the remuneration of employees in two stages. A 25 percent has been given and the balance will be provided during the next fiscal period.
This is the second time management has introduced such measure. in 2010, employees experienced a 50 percent increment in salary which was divided into two stages, fiscal 2010 and 2011.
