The President and CEO of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Global), Richard F. Chambers, stated that "Internal audit departments that have clear objective and are clearly aligned with their stakeholders' goals tent to be much respected... The are seen as providing more value for money". When measuring our own success as internal auditors the temptation is often to concentrate on the numbers. But the ultimate judges of the value we bring to our organizations are our stakeholders, not other internal auditors.
