Members of the Committee on Investment Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of the National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) completed a one day tour at the Corporation's Housing Units in Jah Tondo Town in Brewerville Montserrado County. Mr. Cletus Sieh, Chairman of the Committee thanked the management of NASSCORP and the National Housing Authority (NHA) for collectively building the housing units for low income owners. He said, as Chairman of the Committee, it was necessary for Committee members to visit the site and see things for themselves. "We are happy that NASSCORP funded this project through the National Housing Authority in order to help those who cannot build their own homes and mortgage for a period of ten years", Mr. Sieh told a group of journalists.

Meanwhile, other Members of the Board of Directors on the Committee expressed their level of satisfaction for the work done thus far and hope to see the next phase begins shortly. NASSCORP has completed fifty housing units of homes in Brewerville Community, to be mortgaged for Twenty Thousand United States Dollars ($20,000) over a period of ten years. The next phase will target the building of thirty-five units in the community.

According to the Director General of NASSCORP, Dewitt vonBallmoos, the housing program is part of the government initiative to help the low income workers to own homes as part of the "from mat to mattress" policy launched decades ago and he expects to see occupancy soon.

The Representative of the National Housing Authority (NHA), Mr. Sam Wulu thanked that Director General and the NASSCORP family for providing the funds for the Housing Program. He said the naming right has been given to the Corporation, hence, will be called "NASSCORP Village".
