NASSCORP Assists Orphans& Old Folks

The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) has begun the distribution of relief items to several orphanages and old folks homes in and around Monrovia.

The 40-foot relief container was donated to NASSCORP through the office of the Vice President Hon. Joseph N. Boakai. The Container was part of several containers donated to the Vice President's Office by His Church Charities, a London based charitable organization.

The President and CEO of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Global), Richard F. Chambers, stated that "Internal audit departments that have clear objective and are clearly aligned with their stakeholders' goals tent to be much respected... The are seen as providing more value for money".

When measuring our own success as internal auditors the temptation is often to concentrate on the numbers. But the ultimate judges of the value we bring to our organizations are our stakeholders, not other internal auditors. And stakeholders judge an internal audit department by the outcomes of our work not by the outputs.
