VP TAYLOR, MOFA EXTOL NASSCORP
Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has thanked the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) for contributing to the feeding of disabled people and inner City youths on Independence Day.
“Youth contribution enabled my team and I to host a successful event, which was greatly appreciated by those referenced,” VP Taylor said.
The Vice President’s commendation was contained in a letter from her office dated August 6, 2018 and addressed to NASSCORP Director General Dewitt vonBallmoos.
The Liberian Vice President prayed that God would replenish NASSCORP’s storehouse, since it had identified with the needy, adding, “Please accept, Hon. Director-General, the sentiments of my esteem.”

In a related development, the Ministry of Foreign Affair has, on behalf of President George Manneh Weah, extended “profound gratitude” to NASSCORP for its generous donation towards programs making the 171st Independence Day celebration.
The Ministry noted that through NASSCORP’s generosity, this year’s Independence Day celebrations which were commemorated under the theme, “Unifying the Nation for Pro-poor Development,” and the first of its kind under the Weah-led Administration, was a success.
The ministry hoped that NASSCORP’s sponsorship of the Independence Day celebration would mark the beginning of a long-lasting relationship with “this Administration,” and appreciated NASSCORP’s commitment to the Government and People of Liberia.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry’s letter concluded by thanking NASSCORP for helping to contribute to a “celebration worthwhile.”
