In Bomi County: NASSCORP Dedicates New Regional Headquarters

The National Social Security and Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, dedicated a new regional headquarters in Bomi County, Tubmanburg City, which has transformed the landscape in that part of the country.

In a very brief remarks, President George Manneh Weah, who cut the ribbon to the multipurpose regional office complex, called on the citizens of the county to make maximum use of the facility.

The office complex will serve NASSCORP’s clients and beneficiaries in Bomi, Gbarpolu, and Grand Cape Mount counties as well as provide banking services to the people in the western cluster. According to John Tarnue, a resident of Tubmanburg City, the new office will provide jobs for them, noting that the facility has brought additional impetus to the nightlife of Bomi County citizens. 

“Since DeWitt vonBallmoos took over as Director General of NASSCORP, we have witnessed tremendous improvement at the entity. The opening of the new office demonstrates your determination to take NASSCORP to the people and make the corporation’s presence felt throughout the country. 

“The level of transformation at NASSCORP since you were appointed as Director General is unprecedented in the history of the corporation. Your achievements are countless and your success stories are endless,” he opined.  

 The office comprises of a residence for the regional director and staff, and the banking department. The construction of the headquarters, began about three years ago, at a cost of US$400,000 (four hundred thousand United States dollars).

Director General vonBallmoos honored President Weah with the opportunity to perform the cutting of the ribbon to the building, which the President graciously did, in the presence of the First Lady, Clar Marie Weah, officials of government, and the media.
