The Ministry of Youth & Sports thanked the National Social Security & Welfare Corporation (NASSCORP) for serving as a sponsor of the 2017-2018 National County Sports Meet.
In a letter dated May 11, 2018, and addressed to NASSCORP Director-General Dewitt vonBallmoos, Acting Youth and Sports Minister Audrian Smith-Forbes noted that NASSCORP’s sponsorship in large measure contributed to the successful hosting of the national sporting events.
“We look forward to similar cordial working relationship with your institution in the future,”
the letter added.
“Once again, we appreciate you serving as our sponsors,”
the letter concluded.
It can be recalled that prior to the opening of the county meet, NASSCORP contributed the amount of US$10,000.00 (Ten Thousand United States Dollars) to the Ministry of Youth & Sports to ensure the successful hosting of the county meet.
This is not the first time NASSCORP has contributed towards national sports events. Over the years, NASSCORP has contributed towards the hosting of international matches by the Liberia Football Association (LFA), as well as facilitating the travels of the national team, the Lone Star, to honor international engagements outside of the country.
Recently, the corporation contributed the amount of US$5,000.00 (Five Thousand United States Dollars) to enable the authorities organize sporting events for High School Students around the country.
All of these had been done under the corporate social responsibility outfit of the corporation geared towards giving back to society. All of these contributions were given under the Corporate Social Responsibility package of the Corporation.
